Based on Gumbaynggirr Country
In the small river town of Bellingen NSW, Gardens For Wildlife Bellingen was dreamed up not long after the 2019-20 bush fire season by the owners Ruby and Tom.
Their vision and commitment is to increase habitat for native wildlife across the Bellinger Valley and surrounds whilst simultaneously providing beautiful, useable spaces for our clients.
Ruby’s qualifications and professional experience in (B. Env Sc) Wildlife Conservation & Biology, (Dip) Conservation & Land Management,
& growing up on the banks of the Bellinger River drove her to make sure our work and our practices would align with the ecosystems needs;
and with Tom’s background in construction, landscaping and environmental advocacy,
The locally unique business was born.
With the arrival of their Son Fig it became a family run business.
Every year, more & more people are jumping on the not-so new or radical idea of including wildlife habitat into their garden plans, giving back to the globally significant & richly biodiverse lands we are privileged enough to live on.
This has lead to Gardens for Wildlife Bellingen thriving as a small local business.
